Hi Marlene, and welcome to planDisney! I completely understand wanting to keep the
Disneyland Resort magic going strong with the addition of Park Hopper tickets. I’m happy to help you figure out the best next steps for your adventure!
While
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are non-refundable, there’s a bit of pixie dust hidden in the fine print. Per the
terms and conditions, the value of a wholly unused, expired ticket can be applied toward the purchase of a new ticket, or even upgraded to a higher-tier ticket, like one with Park Hopper privileges. This flexibility gives you some breathing room as you decide how and when you’d like to return to the magic. If you’re curious about expiration dates or upgrade options, I recommend calling the
Tickets line to chat with a Cast Member. They’re always happy to help and will do their best to find a solution that works for you.
If you decide to upgrade, Marlene, you’re in for an unforgettable summer at the Disneyland Resort! Starting May 16, the 70th anniversary celebration kicks off with the return of two fan-favorite nighttime spectaculars. Wondrous Journeys will once again light up the skies with music, projection effects, and a heartfelt tribute to Disney animation. You can catch this stunning show from several locations around Disneyland Park, including Main Street, Sleeping Beauty Castle, Rivers of America, and “it’s a small world.”
And if that weren’t dazzling enough, Paint the Night is also making a grand return! This high-energy parade features glowing floats, toe-tapping music, and beloved characters in radiant color. I’m especially thrilled about the comeback of the Frozen float. it’s a showstopper that hasn’t been seen since the early days of the parade!
Meanwhile, over at Disney California Adventure, the celebration continues with even more magic. Carthay Circle Theatre will host a special nighttime moment filled with lights, music, and projections honoring Disney storytelling. Plus, the Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! parade will make its joyful return, featuring up to 30 Pixar characters. And making its debut this summer, World of Color Happiness! will dazzle Paradise Bay with fountains, lights, and unforgettable Disney scenes.
I hope this helps you plan your next magical visit, Marlene! If you have more questions about tickets or need tips for making the most of your time at the Disneyland Resort, we hope you’ll stop by and visit us again here at planDisney.
Until your next Disneyland daydream becomes reality, keep wishing and wondering,
