    If I upgrade from one level of annual pass to another during the year do I pay the total difference in cost or is it prorated based on how much time is left on the pass?

    Hello, David! Mickey and I don't blame you one bit for wanting to upgrade your Walt Disney World Annual Pass! Ever since the announcements that came out of D23 this summer, it's clear to see that 2019 and beyond is an exciting time to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth! The Mickey Monitor newsletter is always a great source of information when it comes to Passholder exclusive events, discounts, and offerings. 

    If you've activated your Annual Pass already, then you can only upgrade in person at any Walt Disney World theme park ticket window or Guest Relations location. I did this myself a few yEARs ago at the Disney Springs Ticket Center, and it was effortless. If you haven't activated it yet, then ticketing should be able to upgrade it for you (they'll simply refund the original and sell you a new Annual Pass). Just be aware that the cost is not prorated, and your expiration date remains unchanged. You'll pay the difference between the two passes at the time of the upgrade transaction, and if you are on the Florida Resident payment plan, then your monthly installments will remain the same.
