Do you have any updates on the pool revovations scheduled for the Fort Wilderness Meadows' Swimmin Pool? We are staying in a cabin in March and it sounds like the pool may not be available.

    Hi Margaret,

Love the name! I just returned from a stay at Fort Wilderness cabins about a week ago. Yes, there is some major renovations going on at the Meadow Swimmin Pool and the bulldozers were working over time. I am actually looking at the letter from Fort Wilderness that they gave us regarding the pool enhancements. According to the expected time schedule from the resort, the pool is not planned to re-open until late March. Depending on when your arrival is, you may find it still closed.

The leisure pool located near the 2500-2700 cabins is still open for your use, and during the Meadow pool renovations, Fort Wilderness guests are also able to use the Silver Creek Springs pool at Wilderness Lodge. There is a bus that runs from the front of Fort Wilderness to the Wilderness Lodge, or a boat that runs from the dock back by the Settlement to Wilderness Lodge.

Hope you have your floaties ready, happy swimming!
