Hey, howdy ho! Kyle, I am so glad you moseyed by planDisney with this question. I get so excited when I have an upcoming stay at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge that you might think there's a snake in my boot. My family stayed here last October and absolutely loved the ferry boats and all that was easily in reach with this magical transportation. Now, I get to wander back into those happy memories and share what I learned with you.
The "Blue Flag" ferry will take you from Wilderness Lodge to
Disney's Contemporary Resort and
Fort Wilderness. We hopped aboard several times to rustle up some grub at the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and roast a marshmallow or two (or maybe 4) with
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long. Mischievous chipmunks, songs and a campfire. I am always ready for
s'more!
I checked with a Cast Member to make sure I had the most recent information on when you might expect to catch the ferry. Currently, it runs from 3 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. Eastern. It loops between these three resorts, and you can typically expect it to come by Wilderness Lodge every 15-20 minutes. Times and availability are also subject to weather conditions.
One of my favorites (in addition to the knee-slappin' fun at Hoop-Dee-Doo and all the s'mores) was catching the ferry back from the Contemporary when the
Electrical Water Pageant was making its route. I've always been captivated by watching this from the shore of one of the "Monorail Resorts." Seeing it while cruising by on Bay Lake was next-level magic!
Kyle, I hope your trip is more fun than a room full of Andy's toys. If we can help with any other questions, you have a friend in
planDisney.
Reach for the Sky!
