Hi Lindsay,
The Wilderness Lodge is such a peaceful location for a Walt Disney World Vacation. I love staying there because, after a long day exploring the theme parks, it provides a calm place to relax for the evening. We just stayed there last week for a vacation and loved every minute of it.
The
"Blue Launch" water taxi available at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is back up and running but is still on modified hours. These hours are subject to change and typically begin at 3 PM each day. When I was there last week this was still the case and there were even a few days we didn't see one at all. I recommend checking when you arrive at the hotel to see what their posted hours will be for the week. The Blue Launch water taxi does not stop at Disney's Polynesian. It only stops at the Contemporary Resort. To get over to your breakfast reservation at the Polynesian Resort, you would need to jump on the monorail for a second leg of your journey regardless. Since you aren't going to avoid making 2 stops by riding the water taxi, I would plan for a different route that you know for sure will be running first thing in the morning.
My recommendation would be to take the bus over to Magic Kingdom and then hop on the
resort line monorail to the Polynesian Resort. The
bus service to Magic Kingdom begins 45 minutes before the theme park opens and runs about every 20 minutes. You can check your My Disney Experience app for the expected arrival time on the day of your reservation and make sure you are the first to arrive! While dining at
'Ohana, I recommend taking loads of pictures. The parade dance break with characters is one of my favorite character interactions at Disney World. It is a blast for kids and adults alike.
Happy Planning
Jenna
