On our upcoming Disney Wish cruise, I desperately want to visit the Hyperspace Lounge. I heard you have to reserve a spot once you are onboard. Where do we go to do this? And how hard is it to get a spot?

    Ahoy there, Douglas,

Thanks for cruising by with your questions about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation aboard the Disney Wish with your daughter. All of us here at planDisney are wishing you an out-of-this-world experience!

Fear not, Douglas, when it comes to the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge, it is do or do not, there is no try, so I’m certain you will experience this amazing feature of the Disney Wish. Of course, only a Sith deals in absolutes, so I have a few tips to increase your chances of experiencing this galactic venue.

My first bit of good news is that reservations are no longer required to visit Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge. You may encounter a short queue when visiting but be patient my friend, the tables turn over almost as fast as the Millennium Falcon flies. You pass by the lounge often as you navigate the ship, so keep an eye out for an empty queue. The lounge can be experienced by young padawans during the day and in the evening this space is reserved for adult galactic cruisers only (18 years of age and over). So, keep this timing in mind depending on your daughter’s age. Be sure to check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for current hours. I found that a great time to visit is when the ship is in port and other Guests are out and about. Trust in yourself; believe in yourself, Douglas, I have confidence that the force is strong with you.

Now, Douglas, while you are exploring a new horizon, let me tell you about a somewhat hidden treasure aboard the Disney Wish that you and your daughter are sure to enjoy. When you board the ship, check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to find when the Walking the Wish guided tour is offered. It is a fascinating exploration of the technology and storytelling behind the making of Disney Wish. It creates a whole new level of awe about this beautiful ship!

While Arendelle is far from the environs of Coruscant, Tatooine and Batuu, one of my favorite moments of the tour is exploring the Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure dining room. Be sure to peek out the back window and see Rapunzel up close having her best day ever. It will give you a real appreciation for her! And don’t forget to stop down the hallway and take a selfie with Bruno, just don’t talk about it.

Douglas, be sure to sail back by and let us know if you have any other questions. The Force is strong with my planDisney pals and Disney Cruise Line specialists, Tracie and Adrianna

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
