Welcome aboard, Wade!
I'm so happy to hear that you'll be using Disney Cruise Line's optional
Ground Transfers for your upcoming
Land and Sea vacation with Disney!
My family and I always add a few extra days to our
Disney Cruise Line voyages out of
Port Canaveral to stay at the
Walt Disney World Resort and explore the parks, either before or after our sailings. If we're that close, we simply can't miss the extra magic! As you're leaving the ship and the other guests are sadly headed home, you'll have even more magic in store as you set off to Walt Disney World! The transfers to the resorts begin once the guests are able to disembark and run on a continuous basis. I'd suggest trying to head off the ship as soon as possible so you can enjoy more time at the resort and parks later that day. Directions for disembarkation will be given to you the night prior, along with luggage tags for any luggage you will be sending ahead off the ship. Alternately, you may carry all your own luggage off and be some of the first off the ship, as they do allow guests bringing their own bags off to go first.
Either way, once you go through customs, just head outside and you'll see the buses. A Cast Member will be there with a clipboard to check your name and point you to the right motorcoach. Before you know it, you'll be arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort to continue your magical vacation, Wade.
Have the most exciting trip!
