Hi there, J! Welcome to planDisney! I'm sorry to hear about your recent surgery, and I hope you're on the mend. I'm happy to give you some advice about your tickets.
Being a local has many benefits, including Southern California Resident Disneyland ticket discounts. These deals are "Golden State" opportunities! According to
Disneyland's Ticket Terms and Conditions, as long as the ticket is wholly unused, you can most likely put the value towards purchasing a new ticket of equal or greater value- you'll just have to pay the difference in cost.
Without seeing the ticket, I cannot say definitively how it will be handled, but I suggest reaching out to the
Disneyland Ticketing Team at (714) 781-4636. Sometimes, they can do what is called a "repurchase and refund" over the phone, and other times, you'll need to visit a Disneyland Ticket Booth in person. When the new ticket is issued, you can request that it be put in a different guest's name. Hopefully, you're feeling well enough to be able to visit Mickey one day! Keep checking the
Special Offers and Discounts page for more California Resident limited-time deals.
J, did you know that Mickey's Toontown is currently undergoing a magical makeover? The land will reopen next year with Disneyland Park's newest attraction:
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. That sounds like a pretty good reason to plan a trip...see ya real soon!
