    I have an unused 6 day park hopper pass from a few years ago. I want to convert it to an annual pass. I have heard that it is best to use the old pass for at least one day. Just wondering if that is true and if it is then why?

    Hi Ann!

    I'll try to help you out on this one the best I can! From my personal experience, I can tell you I've had more luck with upgrading when I have used the Walt Disney World ticket recently.

    In general, the reason for using your older ticket and then upgrading is an accounting one. Presumably, since ticket prices have risen, the price paid for your older Park Hopper tickets is less than the current selling price of a new Park Hopper ticket. By using the ticket, you are effectively "upgrading" it to today's prices. This should result in a better price for (since the difference is less) when you move ahead to upgrading it to an annual pass.
