From a Sally in Georgia to a Sallie in Texas, welcome to
planDisney!
Can you believe it? After months of training and preparation,
runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is right around the corner. Gather your favorite race nutrition, take your race-day outfit for a test run, and order another bottle of that sunscreen that doesn't sting your eyes when you sweat (though I like to think of it more like a sparkle) because it's almost time to pack up and head out. It's so exciting!
I'm so glad to read that you have decided to stay at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for your
runDisney race vacation. It's such a beautiful destination. Yes, you will have access to convenient and complimentary transportation to and from the
runDisney Health & Fitness Expo as well as on race morning. I'm happy to share with you, Sallie, that unlike everything else in this sport that we love so much, pre-planning is not required! No registration is needed for
runDisney race transportation for you or your support crew!
Now, hold onto your visor, because runDisney race days have a mighty early start. The
Adventure is Out There 10K is scheduled to begin at 5 AM. While final details have not yet been released, I anticipate that the plan will be similar to past events. If so, busses will begin bringing runners to the start at 3 AM and participants will be encouraged to board official transportation by 4 AM. Don't worry about arriving too early. The staging area is a party! You are going to love singing and dancing with thousands of your
runDisney Besties before you hit the pavement for that 6.2-Mile adventure!
If you haven't yet, now is the perfect time to review the
runDisney Virtual Queue process so that you are ready to secure that coveted merch. Also, don't forget to visit your
runDisney Account to sign your participant waiver so that you can breeze through the Bib pickup process on your way to shop for the best new running gear! Then, just pack those bags and get ready for every magical mile.
I hope that was helpful, Sallie! See you on the course!
Adventure is out there,
Sally
