Welcome aboard planDisney, Tiffney!
Thanks for cruising by with your
Disney Cruise Line question. There is nothing like seeing the line where the sky meets the sea and we certainly want you to be well-hydrated while you do!
You will be happy to know that you are permitted to bring unopened bottled water as long as it fits in your carry-on bags. Now, each Guest is allowed a carry-on,
measuring no larger than 9" x 14" x 22" in order to fit in the security scanner at the port. You are also permitted one personal bag. Tiffney, keep in mind that you will need to carry your carry-on with you until your stateroom is ready, which could be a few hours after you board.
To make things a little easier, consider bringing refillable water bottles rather than individual water bottles. There are
24-hour complimentary beverage stations on the ship which offer water and ice and water bottle refill stations on Deck 4 of each of the ships. I usually stop by a few times a day and fill up my bottle.
Another option is to
pre-order water and other beverages, which will magically be awaiting you when you arrive at your stateroom. And of course,
bottled water is available to purchase at any of the full-service restaurants onboard, bars/lounges onboard, through room service, and at beverage carts located on the ship
In addition to water you bring in your carry-on, I always include the basics like sunscreen and if you would like to take a dip in the pool, toss in your bathing suit, but leave your towels at home since they are provided. Remember to pack any medications, valuables, and your cruise documents and identification in your carry-on.
If you would like some ideas on what to pack for your cruise, check out these handy
packing lists available on the Disney Cruise Line website. Depending on your itinerary, you may also want to add some magical extras to your list, so feel free to let us know which cruise you plan to take and we are happy to provide more tips!
Wishing you a magical sail,
Shannon
