I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans to visit
Walt Disney World Resort! I love every part of the planning process, from picking which
Disney Resorts Collection hotel to call "home" during my stay, to selecting just the right
MagicBand to commemorate my trip. With that being said, let's talk about your MagicBands!
- MagicBands can be purchased at a pre-arrival price through your My Disney Experience account. It sounds like you and your husband already purchased MagicBands for yourselves, which is great!
- When MagicBands are purchased through My Disney Experience, they are automatically linked to the Guest that was selected during the purchase process. That means that your MagicBand is likely already linked to you, your tickets, and your reservations! Because of this, MagicBands can't be refunded, exchanged, or transferred between Guests.
- Additionally, tickets that are purchased online or with a vacation package should be linked to the Guests in your travel party during the checkout process. Even though your husband purchased the tickets, they should still be assigned to individual Guests in your travel party. He can check this by heading to the My Plans page, scrolling down a bit, and toggling to Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker. Here, he'll be able to view the theme park tickets and the Guests to whom they're linked.
- All that to say: My Disney Experience is truly a magical resource! If your husband purchased a theme park ticket and assigned it to you, and there is a MagicBand that was purchased and assigned to you, then your My Disney Experience account should already be linked with your ticket and MagicBand.
- Of course, you can always call a Cast Member if you need more assistance. They'll be happy to take a peek at your reservations and make sure that everything is ready to go!
Before you arrive, I'd also suggest that you take a little time to download and explore the
My Disney Experience app! You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, access
virtual queues, and even
mobile order food. This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun!
