Welcome to planDisney, William!
I am glad to hear you are on the mend and ready for some
Christmas magic at Walt Disney World Resort. I usually take an early flight when I travel to Walt Disney World as well. Sometimes I am lucky enough that my room is ready when I arrive and other times it isn't ready until the official check-in time of 3:00 pm (4:00 pm for Disney Deluxe Villas.)
I recommend completing
Online Check-In in the
My Disney Experience mobile app or on the
website. In the app, you'll find it on the Resort Hotel tile. You'll be able to indicate your approximate arrival time, and will receive a notification when your room is ready. You can then bypass the front desk and go straight to your room, using a MagicBand or the app to unlock the door. If you haven't received notification that your room is ready when you arrive, I recommend stopping at the
Front Desk to ask if they might have a room available. Keep in mind that this is a busy time of year, and many Disney Resort Hotels are near capacity. Mousekeeping Cast Members perform an amazing feat each and every day, getting rooms ready for new Guests arriving as others depart. If you are unable to check in to your room early, I recommend storing your luggage with
Bell Services, perhaps taking time to enjoy a meal, and finding a quiet place to relax at your hotel until your room is ready.
William, I am wishing you all the best for your visit this week. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to visit us here at planDisney again.
