Hi Thomas,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for trusting us with your vacation planning question.
We all have to know our strengths, and I know that gaming is not one of mine. No problem! I checked in with my brother-in-law, who happens to own a video game store, for the details about what the latest generation of consoles require to get connected and play. I am grateful to share that since they all use an HDMI hookup, you should be able to bring your system along and never miss a minute. Our experience has been that the TVs in all
Disney Resorts Collection hotels are equipped with multiple connection types, including HDMI. Just make sure to leave the Commodore 64 at home. The older machines would need special adapters to work.
While gaming consoles are not available for rent, DVD players can be checked out for a quiet movie night at "Home."
If you have your heart set on a night of gaming adventure but are not able to bring your beloved console with you, check out the
arcade in your
Walt Disney World Resort hotel! Our family has spent countless hours in serious air hockey battles, immersive races, and (of course!) claw game challenges! You can pick up a reloadable arcade card at the entrance, so you don't have to juggle cash while so focused.
I hope that was helpful, Thomas! If you have any other questions as you plan your unforgettable Disney vacation, please come back and ask. We love to help!
Adventure is out there,
Sally
