I understand that table service restaurants require reservations. Do you need to mobile order a quick service meal at a park days in advance or just wait until the day you are in the park to order? Some quick service places show no time available.

    Hi Ricky,

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney to ask about one of my favorite aspects of a Disney vacation - the fantastic food! I personally LOVE all of the new digital dining tools available and feel like they open up a whole new world of opportunities to enjoy all of the yummy cuisines at Walt Disney World Resort! Let me explain...

First, you are correct that reservations are definitely recommended for table-service restaurants. Reservations are available beginning 60 days in advance, and if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you'll be able to make reservations for the entire length of your stay, up to 10 days. If you're having trouble finding availability at a certain time or location, though, don't give up. Guests change their plans all the time, so reservations do open up sometimes. Of course, one of the new handy dandy tools on the My Disney Experience mobile app is that you're now able to join a walk-up list for select table-service restaurants! Simply select "Check Dining Availability," then choose your party size, click today's date, and select "Now" for your time. You'll be able to see if any restaurants near you have availability without needing reservations. It's pretty sweet!

When it comes to mobile ordering, I'm happy to let you know that there are multiple quick-service and table-service restaurants to choose from! Mobile ordering opens up as each restaurant opens for the day, and you'll be able to select any of the available times in the day, but you'll only be able to select from that day's times. If you're seeing restaurants that are unavailable, it's either because there are no available arrival windows for the day or the restaurant is not currently open. Once you find the restaurant you'd like to try, you'll be able to customize your order and pay for it all within the app. When you arrive at the restaurant, you'll simply need to click "I'm Here, Prepare My Order" and your order will be ready soon.

I'm sending some pixie dust that you find the perfect meals and snacks to enjoy during your visit, Ricky, and hope you have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation!
