Hey there, Anthony!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for coming to us! I loved seeing your question come through because I'm a tech nerd and camera geek. I mainly shoot with a Sony A7III but I can definitely appreciate the appeal of the smaller form factor in these ultra cool action cams.
Before I answer your question, I just wanted to say that I did some research on the Insta360 and it sounds so cool! The footage that you get is really neat and the AI ability to stitch together the two cameras and erase the selfie stick and camera is impressive! I bet you'll be able to edit together an awesome video for your visit.
Disney has a list of Prohibited Items on their
Park Rules and Regulations as well as a FAQ about
Permitted Items in the Parks. They both state that extending selfie sticks are prohibited due to safety concerns. Tripods are allowed as long as they do not extend beyond 6' and can fit into a standard backpack. An attachment that secures your camera to your chest would be fine. You are also allowed to use a non-extending handle for your camera and I have brought my small gimbal (that does not extend) into the Parks before. Ultimately, it will be at the discretion of the Cast Members at the security checkpoint what to allow through.
You're traveling a long distance to enjoy the Disneyland Resort, and we want you to be able to document your trip as much as possible. Don't forget to take advantage of the many
Disney PhotoPass photographers who are all over the Parks so that you can get some nice portraits as well!
Anthony, I hope you found this helpful and that you get some epic footage of your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! If you have any more questions, please send them our way because we'd love to hear from you again and you're always welcome at planDisney. Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
