Michele from LA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello! I understand that in order to receive the digital photos from our vacation, Memory Maker needs to be purchased at least 3 days prior to arrival/first use. Does this mean that it must ALSO be linked to our account at least 3 days prior?

Smile and say, "Cheese!" Welcome to planDisney, Michele where we love to help guests get picture-ready for their Walt Disney World Resort visits. Your vacation begins in just a few sleeps, so let's talk about capturing your memories through photos during your trip.

Memory Maker is a fabulous Disney PhotoPass product that gives you unlimited digital downloads of all images from your visit. If you purchase Memory Maker at least three days before you plan to use it, you'll get a nice discount, but you can also buy it after you arrive.

Since you'll be asked to sign into your My Disney Experience account online when you purchase Memory Maker, it will autoMAGICally be linked to your plans. While you might not see evidence of it in your mobile app, you'll be prompted to activate Memory Maker the first time you select a photo in the "Photo Gallery" section on the Welcome page of your app.

I chatted with a sitting-pretty Cast Member who said that since your arrival date is approaching, you might be cutting it close for the pre-arrival option. She suggested you call the Disney PhotoPass line to let them know the exact date you plan to start using Memory Maker so they can best advise you.

Your mobile app can also lead you to those green-clad PhotoPass photographers once you're on Disney property. Tap the location pin at the bottom of the screen and filter by location in the upper left. Choose "PhotoPass" from the dropdown menu at the top to see spots where you can pose for the camera. One of my favorite places at Magic Kingdom Park is on the walkway to the left of Cinderella Castle. There's often a photographer there snapping photos. The angle of the castle is breathtaking, and no other guests will be in the background. It's so magical!

Michele, I hope Disney shows you its "good side" on your visit! Be sure to strike a pose! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
