Hi, I understand the Halloween festivities begin August 23,2024, is it safe to assume that the park would be in full Halloween decor by the date of August 23, 2024? I planned on getting tickets August 23 but didn’t want to run into the “still setting up”

    Hi Krystle,

Welcome back to planDisney! Sounds like the spooky season is a favorite! If you have the Disneyland app and have taken a peek recently you'll know that we're Halfway to Halloween which is also exciting because Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is always so festive and fun. Fall is also officially birthday season for me, and I welcome the change in weather and the beautiful decor. The Main Street Pumpkin Festival is always amazing and the treats!!!

When it comes to decor, we typically see fall pop up before the actual opening of the season. I'm no Madame Leota, but in my experience, the resort is fully decked out by the first day. I think it's safe to say that you'll arrive on the 23rd to see my favorite Mickey Pumpkin greet you at the Main Street, U.S.A entrance. Keep an eye out on Disneyland's Instagram page as they tend to share updates and progress as the seasons get close.

Once you've arrived, enjoy the sights and sounds of all things Halloween! Our favorite pals will be wearing their Halloween costumes and the limited-time food and beverages will make their entrance, too! Halloween Time's frightful delights can be experienced at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. I'm always excited to hop in a doom buggy for A Haunted Mansion Holiday, inspired by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's the only time I am obliged to ride the attraction during the year. Be sure to follow Disney Parks Blog as they typically release a Disney Eats Foodie Guide to showcase all the delicious treats that will debut. While we don't have an opening date yet for Tiana's Bayou Adventure which is the Haunted Mansion's neighboring attraction, it is during Halloween Time that we see our favorite villains, and Dr. Facilier is probably one of my favorites that you'll see roaming New Orleans Square! Just beware of his Friends on the Other Side! If you're down to party, be sure to check out the dates for Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure Park. Tickets go fast and disappear like one of the 99 Haunts, so set those alarms once they announce the date of the sale!

Well Krystle, I am excited you'll be visiting in just a few months and wish you a spooktacular time! If you happen to have any other questions before your arrival, feel free to send me another message! Let the countdown to Halloween Time begin.

    Have a frightfully fun week!
