I understand that the Grand Floridian has bathrooms with TV's in them. What do I ask for when wanting this?

    Hello Karen!

Welcome to planDisney! I have to admit, those televisions in the mirrors are a really neat feature, and my kiddos were very impressed! I tend to listen to the news in the morning as I get ready, so having the news on while doing my makeup would be pretty convenient.

This feature is only found in the rooms of The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. They are not in the standard rooms of the main resort. The Villas are a separate building and are part of the Disney Vacation Club family of resorts. You’ll find Deluxe Studios that feature a kitchenette, 1 and 2-Bedroom Villas with full kitchens and washer and dryers right in your room, and magnificent 3-Bedroom Grand Villas! These rooms can be booked  directly through Disney for Guests who are not Disney Vacation Club Members. Availability can be seen usually 10 to 11 months before booking on the Walt Disney World Website.

We are Disney Vacation Club Members, and I highly recommend staying in a villa. Especially for families or larger groups, having the 1 or 2-Bedroom Villa really enhances our enjoyment of our stay. There is room for everyone to spread out, we make breakfast in our room most days, and I love having the washer and dryer. We bring less luggage with us this way, and never underestimate the joy of a dry bathing suit if you make multiple trips to the pool each day!

You will also find these magical bathroom mirrors in the overwater bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, and in the cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

I hope you can book one of these amazing rooms for your trip, Karen! Please let us know what additional questions you have as you make your plans, we love talking Disney and are here to help!
