I understand that if I don't have park hopper, if I want to go to 2 parks in 1 day, I have to use 2 days worth of tickets. Can I goto Magic Kingdon in the AM, Epcot in the afternoon (use two days of tickets) then go back to Magic Kingdom again in the eve?

Hi, Rob!  This is actually kind of a confusing question, and if you do a web search, you're going to find lots of answers that conflict.

The bottom line answer on this is if you have a multi-day pass, meaning you purchase a ticket that is good for more than one day at any of the four theme parks, you can only use that ticket once per day (unless it has a park hopper option).  If it is a three day ticket, it is good on three separate days.  Without the park hopper option, you can go in and out of one theme park one day, but you cannot use that ticket to leave one park and go to another on the same day - the pass won't work in the turnstile at a second theme park.

If you have one day, one park passes (not hoppers), you can use those tickets whenever you want.  If you want to go to EPCOT in the afternoon and use one ticket, you can.  If you want to go to Magic Kingdom in the evening, you can use another one day, one park pass.

So, to answer your question, if you have a multi-day ticket, you cannot go from the Magic Kingdom in the morning to EPCOT in the afternoon.  You can certainly leave the Magic Kingdom to do something else and return later, but you can't park hop with a multi-day ticket without the park hopper option.

I hope I haven't made this as clear as mud!

Have a great visit to Walt Disney World!
