Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kimberly! Just like Mickey Mouse, my best pals are large Pluto and Goofy-like dogs and I love being able to bring them along with me on vacation. As part of an ongoing pilot program, there are four Disney Resort Hotels that offer dog-friendly accommodations:
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort,
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside,
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort. At each of these resorts, a dog-friendly accommodation will include easy access to outdoor areas for exercise as well as pet-relief areas.
Upon arrival, the Front Desk Cast Member will present you with Pluto’s Welcome Kit, which will include some necessities for your pups, such as a mat, bowls, a Pet ID tag, plastic potty cleanup bags, and dog walking maps showing you the areas that you are able to bring your pup along for an adventure. There are certain areas or floors of these resorts that are designated as dog friendly, but the majority of the resort areas will still be canine-free to protect guests with allergies. Aside from service animals, dogs are not permitted in most common areas such as the restaurants, recreation spaces, and swimming pools.
I hope this information helps you to better plan the next
Walt Disney World vacation for you and your furry friend! Please stop back if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
