    I was unable to get reservations for Chef Mickey at the Contemporary. Do they take walk-ins, if you get there when it first opens?

    Hi Aquanita.  Chef Mickey is a reservation restaurant, but here is what I recommend to anyone who did not get reservations to a restaurant they were hoping to dine at on their vacation.  First, call 407-WDW-DINE literally everyday, if possible, and see if there have been any cancelations.  If you arrive on your vacation and still have not gotten reservations, call the DINE number again when you arrive.  And lastly, go to Chef Mickey in person and ask if they have anywhere they could fit your party in for a reservation.  I have had this work for me, and I have been told there simply were no openings.  But my motto is try, try and try again.  Best of luck and I hope you are able to get  reservation at some point during your WDW vacation.  Thanks so much for coming to the Mom's Panel.
