Yo ho, yo ho, Philip!!
Welcome to planDisney!
Arrrr, the
Blue Bayou Restaurant is a treasure, isn't it? This Creole girl has been loving that place since she was a wee Mouseketeer. I can almost catch a whiff of the barge water now, the firefly lights twinkling, and the
Pirates of the Caribbean boats drifting by. And, of course, the mouthwatering flavors of the Crescent City gracing every plate – it's a true feast for the senses!
Now, Philip, Blue Bayou reservations are like a coveted chest of doubloons. It's such a popular location that getting a dining reservation here has always been hard. I was able to confirm that the area is undergoing renovations during the week of January 7th and is not accepting reservations for dining that week. However, I also tried checking for your January 19th visit, but alas, no tables are available.
But fear not, me matey! My pal,
Panelist Amanda D, a seasoned sailor in the art of reservation plunderin', shared a valuable secret. Sometimes, the Blue Bayou might open its gates for reservations closer to the date, even though the resort usually opens them up
60 days in advance.
I would encourage you to keep a weather eye on
the dining website as your visit draws near. And here's a scurvy trick that I usually resort to the walk-up list. If it's all booked online, swing by the restaurant in person as soon as they open to check if they have any tables available for the day.
I know it's not the news you were hoping for, Philip. But please feel free to
send me another question, and I'll get you a quick answer. I'd love to share more of
my favorite tips to help make your Disney dreams come true!
Fair winds and following seas,
Danielle
