Hey there, Amanda!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing your question to us! First of all, I'm so sorry to hear about your injury and how it will prevent you from visiting the Disneyland Resort as originally intended. I certainly wish you a speedy recovery but until then, let me go over some of your available options.
Your special
Southern California Resident Ticket does indeed expire on June 2, 2024 and all days on the ticket must be used by that date. Although the ticket may not be sold, it may be gifted to another Guest. The name on the ticket does not need to match the name of the individual using the ticket. However, since this is a location based special offer, this Guest must also be a Southern California Resident living within the appropriate ZIP codes. The Cast Member will ask to see a government issued photo ID to verify residence the first time the ticket is used. Just make sure that the ticket is properly linked to their Disneyland account which can easily be accomplished with the
Disneyland Mobile App.
If the ticket is allowed to expire, you still even have options then! According to the
Terms and Conditions, the cost of a wholly unused, expired theme park ticket may be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket as long as the price is equal or greater.
I hope you are able to find a good home for the ticket, Amanda. When you are ready to visit again, take a look at the
2024 Calendar of Events to see what's going on at the Disneyland Resort. There's never a dull moment because there's always something going on at the Happiest Place on Earth!
I hope that this information was helpful for you. Please come by anytime if you have more questions. We'd love to hear from you again and you're always welcome at planDisney!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
