Hey there, Alexis, thanks for reaching out to us here at planDisney!
I'm happy to share more about linking and unlinking the Magic Key pass! The great thing about traveling with a party is the ability to link up your tickets to other accounts for easier reservations for attractions and dining. However, once your trip is over, and, let's say, your Magic Key was linked to another person for the day, you might want to get that removed.
Unlinking a Magic Key can be done a few different ways, depending on who the key belongs to:
- If your key is attached to someone else and you'd like it removed, ask the person to remove it from their Disneyland app. They'll navigate to the three bars on the bottom menu of the app and then tap the Tickets and Passes button. It should populate all tickets and any Magic Key passes available. They can swipe to your Magic Key and then under the barcode there should be "Delete This Pass," and there you go! Note: you cannot unlink a Magic Key that is linked to your Disney account manually.
- You'll have to give the Magic Key Holder hotline a ring. The guest relations cast member can help you remove the key from another account. This scenario works if the person cannot do it manually and if you are the Disney account holder making the request.
- If you purchased a Magic Key for someone else and now want to move the key to their Disney account, this also warrants a phone call to the Magic Key Holder hotline as it cannot be done manually in the app. You'll need the name, phone, and Disney account email of the Magic Key pass holder that will be linked to it.
I'm really excited to experience Pixar Fest starting next week (April 26 - August 4), mostly because of the snacks and entertainment! I love a good dance party, so I can't wait to party with my Pixar pals at Disney California Adventure Park. There's so much more happening, the year is just getting started. Be sure to follow Disney Parks Blog, and stay tuned for when they announce the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Park... it will be later in 2024, so I feel like we're almost there!
Hope this helped you Alexis, and wishing you a magical year spent at the Disneyland Resort! If you have any other questions before your next visit, feel free to send us another message!
Magic awaits!
