    Hi we are UK guests and will be staying at Art of Animation resort. We want to purchase gift cards to use for dining - but I can’t see I can purchase these as in the UK. Where can I get these from when we get to Disney? It’s not clear from what I’ve read…

    Welcome to planDisney! Your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort and stay at Disney's Art of Animation must be just about two months away and I'm sure you are all so excited! It's a big journey to Florida and you have many things to plan for. 

    I am glad that you are thinking about your spending and budget. Purchasing a Disney Gift Card in the UK is limiting as it appears that it can only be used for goods and services sold at UK Disney Stores. In addition, purchasing a US Disney Gift Card is not possible while you are in the UK as it cannot be shipped over there. Some packages with the Walt Disney World Travel Company come with a Disney Gift Card such as what is currently offered. These will be e-gift cards usually that are emailed to you that can be used in the Parks during your trip. 

    My best suggestion is for you to purchase your Disney Gift Cards when you arrive in the United States. If you arrive at Orlando International Airport (MCO) there are three Disney Stores with one most likely near your arriving terminal. Gift cards are available to purchase at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel gift shop, park merchandise locations, and in Disney Springs at various locations as well. Check out World of Disney in Disney Springs as they will have so many options.
