Hiya Graham!
Welcome to
planDisney! It is lovely to see you here asking a question about your
Disney Vacation Club Membership and it would be my pleasure to help you gather information. I can understand feeling a bit anxious about your vacation plans for this November, as the United Kingdom travel policies and restrictions continue to change. I will remain hopeful that you will be able to enjoy a wonderful vacation, using your
Vacation Points in
Walt Disney World, this November!
If your November vacation must be cancelled or postponed, let us explore some options to help keep you from losing your Vacation Points. Some of this information will be dependent upon your
Use Year and if you are using any
banked or borrowed Vacation Points from your 2020 or 2022 Use Years. If you are only using your 2021 Vacation Points for the November vacation, you will need to cancel your vacation and
bank your 2021 Vacation Points four months prior to the end of your Use Year or
31 days prior to check-in, whichever comes first.
Another option to consider if you have to cancel your November vacation and are planning to use 2020 banked Vacation Points or your Vacation Points will expire after November 2021, is to contact a third-party travel insurance agency. You can then discuss options for purchasing travel insurance for your vacation, using the monetary amount that your Vacation Points represent. For instance, if you have a 7-night stay booked at
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, see how much that stay would cost paying cash, and insure your vacation for that amount. While you may still lose those Vacation Points, you would be able to use the money refunded to you by the travel insurance to book a vacation at a later date, once you are able to travel.
I truly hope that you are able to travel this November and that you have a wonderful visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop back by
planDisney if we can assist you any further or if you have any additional vacation questions. We are always here and so very happy to help.
