Welcome to planDisney, Lorraine! Just like Mary Poppins says, we are happy to help you with your Jolly Holiday!
I like you are being proactive by checking the
locker dimensions. I called Guest Relations today, and unfortunately, there is no other option for storing your car seat at the Parks. Uber and Lyft both offer a car seat option for a $10 surcharge per ride. However, their standard car seat is forward-facing and only suitable for children ages two and up, at least 22 pounds and 31 inches.
Since your Mouseketeer is an infant, I highly recommend a stroller with a removable car seat. In the U.S., this is often referred to as a travel system, and it will have a matching car seat and stroller combination (when you arrive at the Parks, you can snap the car seat into the stroller). Many
stroller rental companies in the Orlando area will have these if you don't want to bring your own from the U.K. ScooterBug is the Disney featured provider, and they can be reached by visiting scooterbug.com/orlando or calling 00 800 2006 0809. Guests are asked to park strollers outside the attractions, but most shows and even some slow-moving rides allow you to bring the car seat inside, which is super convenient with a sleeping baby!
And here's another planDisney tip for you, Lorraine: make sure to seek out the
Baby Care Centers, conveniently located in all four theme parks. They offer private nursing rooms with rocking chairs and a host of other helpful amenities for parents with infants. The one in Magic Kingdom Park just received a makeover that is
practically perfect in every way!
See ya real soon,
Eean
