    We have 2 & 5yo. Typically we get a suite so the kids can sleep in the sitting area and we can have the bed room and watch TV etc after the kids go to bed. We are worried about being in 1 room, but do not want to pay for a suite. Any suggestions?

    This is a classic problem with travel -- What do you do when you have one room and members of your party go to sleep at different times?

    I always found this situation to be particularly challenging at nap time. What we typically did for naps was have one of the adults leave the room to explore the resort or swim. The other adult would sit in a corner with a small booklight and read. Or since this often would not work with my kids, I would camp out and do crossword puzzles in the bathroom.

    At night, my experience is that most small children, once they are truly sound asleep, won't be woken up by a television on at low volume. You'll probably have to wait until about 20-30 minutes after they fall asleep to have this work. Another alternative would be to request a ground floor room with a patio or a room with a balcony, these are available at several of the resorts. The adults could sit outside and chat or read while the kids were asleep.

    You should also be aware that not all the suite-style rooms at WDW are crazy expensive. The new Family Suites at the All Star Music resort are reasonably priced. Also, two connecting rooms at a value or moderate resort might be something you could explore.
