Hi Heather! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
I'm glad to hear you are planning to visit
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park during your upcoming trip! My family and I had a really great day there on our recent visit. It was the perfect balance of fun and relaxation for us.
Rain showers are a near-daily occurrence in Florida this time of year. Typhoon Lagoon generally does not close for rain, even if it is heavy. Guests will still be able to enjoy pools and slides in the rain. However, if heavier storms roll in and lighting is present in the area, Guests will be asked to exit all water areas. Unless the weather is severe, Guests may remain in the park until the danger has passed and the all-clear is given to return to the water. My family and I have had some of our best visits on days when it rained -- when the rain cleared we had the park nearly all to ourselves.
I thought you might like to know that towels are available to rent for a nominal charge at
Singapore Sal's. Towels are complimentary for Guests staying at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Parking is free at Typhoon Lagoon. If you plan to
travel by bus from your Disney Resort Hotel, take a bus to
Disney Springs and transfer there to the bus headed to Typhoon Lagoon.
I hope that helps! If you have any additional questions, please stop by and see us again. Have a wonderful vacation!
