    What type of washing machine does Port-Orleans - Riverside have and does it take regular laundry soap or High Efficiency (HE) laundry soap?

    Hi, Charles! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. As much as I hate to do it, laundry is sometimes a necessity even while on vacation. Thankfully, there are great laundry facilities in all Walt Disney World Resort hotels. The ones that you will find at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside have all been converted to High Efficiency (HE) machines. No need to worry about keeping a stock of quarters handy; the machines are all operated via a base that accepts credit or debit cards. Simply scan your card, push a button to pick the machine you plan to use and you are set! If you do need detergent or fabric softener, there is a machine in each laundry room to purchase such supplies. 

    Be sure to bookmark LaundryView.com/disneyworld on your phone. I recently (rather giddily) told another Guest about the wonderful technology available to Guests having to suffer through laundry duty while on vacation. I have used this service several times this year and it has always been spot on with its "cycle complete" notifications.
