What type of room (e.g. preferred) and location (e.g. decade) do you recommend requesting at Pop Century? My priorities are close walking distance to transportation (especially the skyliner) and the food court area to refill mugs etc. Thanks.

Hi Brittany!  Welcome to planDisney.  My friends and I were just having a discussion about this very thing for our upcoming stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort.  I'll be happy to give you my thoughts on room location requests.

Preferred rooms are located close to Classic Hall where Everything POP Shopping & Dining is located.  Bus transportation is also located in front of Classic Hall.  Preferred Rooms are in portions of the '50s, '60s, and '70s buildings.

My ideal room location at Disney's Pop Century Resort would be in the '60s section.  This section is closest to the Disney Skyliner station, as well as a short distance to Classic Hall.  And here's a little secret I'm happy to share: some rooms in the '60s section are Standard Rooms.  My pick would be a room in the '60s section facing Hourglass Lake with a view of the Skyliner -- and this would be considered a Standard Room.

Brittany, please keep in mind that although Cast Members will do their best to honor all requests, a request is just that and cannot be guaranteed.  Guests who reserve a Preferred Room will be assigned a room in a Preferred location, but a specific decade or room location may not be available for your stay.  No matter where you end up, once you arrive you'll figure out the most efficient path to get you where you need to go.

I hope that helps!  Please feel free to visit planDisney again with any additional questions you may have.  Enjoy your stay!
