Hi John!
I usually bring my own snacks to the Walt Disney World parks because I have several food allergies and intolerances. I usually bring apples, almonds, almond butter and dried fruit. I have never had a problem bringing in my own food and Disney does allow for guests to bring food into the park. Guests are allowed to bring in any food item that does not require heating. The official policy states that a guest should inform a Security Cast Member of food items you are bringing in, which you can do when you have your bag checked at the park entrance.
You will also want to make sure that the food you bring can fit into your bag as coolers, with or without wheels, that are larger than 24" (61cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high are not allowed. You can visit the
Restricted Personal Items page for more information on what guests are prohibited from bringing to the parks. You can also visit the
Special Dietary Requests page for more information on bringing personal food items.
Finally, don't forget to check out the
Walt Disney World dining page because there are so many wonderful dining options throughout the parks and resorts.
Magically,
Stacy
