Ahoy, Judy!
You are going to love Castaway Cay when you visit on your Disney Cruise vacation! I've been there over a dozen times, and it never gets old. It's such a treat to visit since only Guests aboard Disney Cruise Line get to experience this private paradise in the Bahamas!
There are so many things to do and enjoy on the island like snorkeling in the pristine waters.
Snorkeling equipment rentals are offered for Guests ages five and up so your little sailor has a few more yEARs before he/she can join you in the Snorkeling Lagoon. Each rental will include a swim vest for all your family members five and over. You can reserve your equipment ahead of time online or once on the island.
The only place Disney Cruise Line has floatation vests available for Guests to use on the island is in the water-play area, Pelican Plunge. This area offers a floating platform and two water slides that twist you down to the lagoon. Since this is the only place to use a vest (other than snorkeling), you may want to bring a floatation device from home for your Mouseketeer to use in the water.
You'll be able to enjoy several activities as a family when you visit including Spring-a-Leak. This water play area is full of splashtacular fun, and your little one will love the opportunity to get soaked by the shooting water and misters! I also suggest a bike ride along with a trip up the Observation Tower to get a bird's eye view of Disney's paradise! The bike rentals offer different sizes including ones with training wheels and child seats. Another activity you don't want to miss is the family Whale Dig at Monstro's Point. My son has loved searching this "excavation site" for bones since he was around two!
An amazing day on Castaway Cay is coming your way, Judy!
Thank you for cruising by to "sea" us!
