What type of channels are offered in the value resorts? I know it sounds like a weird question but my son likes to watch Disney movies at bedtime to wind down. Are there movies on there or should we bring some from home? Also are packaged hot dogs sold ?

Hi Elizabeth, That's not a strange question at all. TV options are important to many guests. The television stations are the same at all the Disney resorts. They included the major networks, several in-house Disney resort channels, news stations, and many versions of ESPN. There is no channel devoted exclusively to Disney movies. If your son needs these to fall asleep you should plan to bring your own. You can get the complete scoop on TV at WDW on the independent website blog.touringplans.com. Search there for an article called "Keeping Up With the World While You're at Walt Disney World, Part One: Television." Packaged hot dogs are not generally sold at the value resorts. However you can find them at many other locations at Walt Disney World. All the hotels that have attached Disney Vacation Club villas include a mini-mart type section in their gift shops. If you're at the Magic Kingdom, you could easily walk over to the shop at the Contemporary to buy packaged hot dogs. Similarly, both the Boardwalk and Beach Cub gift shops have these and are both an easy walk from the back International Gateway exit to Epcot. Good luck with your planning.
