Hi Caridad,
Taking your two princesses to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is going to be an AMAZING experience! I bet you're having a BLAST just dreaming about and planning your trip, and before you know it, you'll be at "The Most Magical Place on Earth" experiencing your Disney dreams coming true! SO exciting!
You're choosing between two fantastic experiences, and honestly, I don't think you'll go wrong either way. I have wonderful memories experiencing Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at
1900 Park Fare. The food is scrumptious (my mouth is watering just thinking about the Floridian Strawberry Soup!) and the character interactions are fantastic. Cinderella and Prince Charming are as regal and friendly as ever, Lady Tremaine is delightfully wicked, and Anastasia and Drizella are, of course, spoiled and seeking all of the attention.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, on the other hand, is a frightfully fun evening full of unique character greeting opportunities, short wait times for your favorite attractions, an all new Halloween-themed fireworks display, the fantastic Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, and the opportunity to dress up and go trick-or-treating around Magic Kingdom park. It's one of my favorite special events of the entire year!
You know your girls best. Do they love princesses? Do they love the opportunity to try a variety of delicious food? Would they enjoy the chance to hang around the gorgeous Resort hotel and soak up the magic of being able to stay in that beautiful location before and after dinner? Do they head to bed early or frighten easily? If so, I'd choose the dinner. If they love meeting lots of characters, dressing up in Halloween costumes and seeing other incredibly creative costumes, experiencing Halloween-themed shows, parades, and fireworks, and being able to ride attractions without much waiting, I'd suggest the party. At their age, perhaps the biggest factor is if you feel like they could stay up late enough to enjoy most of the perks of the party. If they can, I'd lean towards that. It's a seasonal event, so it's only available a few months out of the year, while the dinner is available year-round. Like I said before, though, you'll have a BLAST experiencing either one of these great choices!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Caridad, and please feel free to come back and see us again if we can help with anything else. Whatever you decide, I hope that you and your daughters have a truly magical vacation!
