Hi Jacqueline!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
I’m happy to let you know that
guests under 3 years old will not need a park ticket. So, as long as he’s under 3 throughout your vacation or you’ve purchased a vacation package, no ticket will be needed!
In fact, we always snuck one last trip in about a week or two before each of my kids turned 3 for that reason! I feel like it’s the best of both worlds: they’re still young enough not to need park admission, but old enough to start really understanding all of the magic around them. It might just be my favorite age for a Disney World trip!
In addition to free park admission, little ones under 3 eat for free at any buffet or family-style meal. That includes some of the
character dining and the
fireworks dessert parties, which is a huge bonus!
You also won’t need to worry about
purchasing Lightning Lanes for your little guy. He’ll be able to enter through the Lightning Lane of attractions as long as those with him who are 3 or older have a Lightning Lane.
There are SO many great attractions with no height requirement (or a very small height requirement) in the parks that I’m sure he’ll love! Some of my boys’ favorites at that age were
Dumbo,
Journey of the Little Mermaid,
Peter Pan’s Flight,
The Seas with Nemo & Friends,
Alien Swirling Saucers (must be 32" or taller), and
Kilimanjaro Safaris.
Ok…I think that about covers it! I hope you have the best trip! Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan.
