Hi Moms! We are two weeks away from our trip to the world. How do you get from the AoA to Chip and Dales campfire? Also, is Chip and Dale a nightly event (weather permiting)? Thank you!

    Anne,

Sounds like you are already planning some great fun!

Yes, the Chip and Dale campfire program is held nightly, pretty much all year long. As you indicated, weather permitting.

So there are a few ways to get there from the Art of Animation Resort.

    • Officially, you are going from resort to resort, so you are supposed to take a bus from your resort to Downtown Disney. Then you would transfer to a bus to the Fort Wilderness area. When you reach the gate you then transfer (yes, again) to an internal resort bus that will drop you near the campfire.
    • Another way to do it is to take a resort bus to the Magic Kingdom and then boat over to the Fort Wilderness marina. From there you can catch that same internal bus to the campfire.
    • Finally you could take a bus to either Hollywood Studios or Epcot and then switch to a Fort Wilderness bus. Again, grab the internal bus for the final leg of it. Why not Animal Kingdom too? Too far out of your way!
FYI, to select the right internal Fort Wilderness bus you should see signs that say which one is right, though if memory serves it is the gold one.   My favorite route of these is the one via the Magic Kingdom boat, just because I love that boat ride. But the bus to Epcot is probably the quickest.

    Have a magical vacation!
