We are two weeks away from boarding our first Disney Cruise! I have a special needs daughter (14 yrs) and have booked the Dolphin experience at Atlantis. Has someone else experienced this with a special needs child?

    Ahoy Loretta!
I'm sure the excitement is building in your house as your sail date grows closer!  My family is also counting down to our next cruise and can't wait until the magical day arrives!
I don't have any experience with a special needs child on the dolphin excursion, but I do know that the tour operator will do their best to accommodate her to make sure she is safe during the encounter.  A trained worker will be in the water with her throughout the entire experience.  If you have any questions or concerns, my advice is to speak with the Port Adventure Manager once you board the ship.  The Port Adventure Desk is located on Deck Five Midship.
Thanks so much for visiting the Moms Panel with your question, Loretta!  Please let me know if you think of any other last minute questions before you are sailing away on your Bahamian adventure!
    Bon Voyage!
