We will be going to the two water parks. How long is a good amount of time to plan on staying in Blizzard Beach and then also Typhoon Lagoon? Two different days of course. I was thinking four hours each park, but I really have no idea. Thanks.

In general, four hours is about how long my family will spend at one of the water parks. The time you choose to spend will be impacted by several factors: weather, crowd level, the ages of your kids, etc.

We have 3 girls, ages 8-11. The oldest is now tall enough to go on all the big slides, the younger can go on all but the very biggest. If we arrive at park opening, go on almost all the attractions once and eat lunch, that's usually enough for us. And that's usually about 4 hours. Of course if your children are smaller, they won't be able to do quite as much, so you might be there for less time. Or if it is an insanely hot day, you might want to stay there longer.
