I have two questions about tickets. In December 2019 I renewed my DVC Gold Pass but have never activated it. Is it still good as it is? Also, I purchased six 6-Day Park Hoppers for a planned April 2020 trip that was cancelled. Are they still valid?

    Welcome Home, Deborah!

The past year has led to some pretty complicated situations when it comes to navigating Disney tickets and trips, and I have to admit, you have me stumped on the Annual Pass question! I reached out to a Cast Member on the Disney Vacation Club Member Website for you with this question. Given the very specific situation you are in, they recommended you start by calling the Disney V.I.Passholder Support Line. The phone number can be found at the very bottom of the Passholder Program Webpage. In theory, since the parks have been open since July, you may not be able to use the certificate as-is for a renewal, and may only be credited the amount paid toward the purchase of a new Annual Pass. Keep in mind that sales of new Annual Passes are still on pause. However, every situation is different, and as the Cast Member I chatted with mentioned, it would be best to have you speak to someone directly regarding your account and see what can be done, or if any pixie dust can be found. I would call the Annual Passholder VIP Line to get a definitive answer. Keep in mind, they may also have you call Disney Vacation Club Member Services, but Cast Member Peter recommended you start by calling the Passholder line.

In terms of your 6-Day Park Hoppers, you never lose the value paid for those tickets. Tickets that were purchased with a use date during the theme park closure should be automagically valid without any additional charges to be used through September 26, 2021.  If you will be visiting before then, you should be able to make Park Pass Reservations. If you are having trouble making Park Pass Reservations, or wish to use your tickets after that date, you will need to call Walt Disney World Ticketing to have those tickets validated for what days you want to use them and to pay any additional charges if needed. Additional charges will depend on when you plan to use those tickets since the ticket price depends on the date of first use.

I’m sorry I don’t have the exact answer to that Annual Pass question for you, Deborah, but the Cast Members I spoke with stated it would best to have you speak with Disney directly and they would look up your specific account information so that you got the correct answer. I hope you’ll be booking your next Disney Vacation Club trip real soon!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
