Hello there, Pam! Thanks for bringing your excellent questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
In my opinion, you've picked a fantastic time of yEAR to visit Walt Disney World Resort! March brings beautiful weather with its warm days and cool nights. In 2020, you'll miss the Mardi Gras and Easter Break crowds, but the resorts will still be moderately busy due to a combination of Guests attending Dance and Cheer competitions. One of my favorite things about visiting in early spring is that Walt Disney World Resort is abloom in color! Make sure to visit the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, for the unique character topiaries and delicious Outdoor Kitchens. If you're lucky, you might be one of the first Guests to ride
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway at
Disney's Hollywood Studios which is scheduled to open sometime next spring! I'd also suggest checking the
Park Hours calendar and the
Disney Parks Blog as you get closer to your trip, for up to date happenings around the Parks.
One thing I definitely recommend experiencing during your trip is the brand new
Skyliner transportation system, set to open September 29. The Disney Skyliner stations will be
Disney's Art of Animation Resort/
Disney's Pop Century Resort,
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, (the soon to open)
Disney's Riviera Resort, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Epcot. The gondolas cars are decked out with graphics based on Disney movies, attractions, and characters (I cannot wait to ride in the Haunted Mansion one!), and will travel at speeds up to 11 miles per hour. I have a feeling that seeing Walt Disney World Resort from this bird's eye view will add a sprinkle of pixie dust to your day!
If you think of any more questions, Pam, please send them our way! See ya' real soon!
