Two Questions - I know my daughter (4) would love to eat with the princesses, but I worry about my son (5 1/2) being bored. Any suggestions? And is there any place online where we can see menus, pricing - and possibly hours to see how early they open?

A princess meal is a classic and priceless experience for a four-year-old girl. You will get memories and photos there to last a lifetime. The princess character meals do try to make it fun for the boys. For example, at Cinderella's Royal Table, boys are given a souvenir sword. And there are male characters at the princess meals sometimes. Over the years I have seen Prince Charming, Peter Pan, and Aladdin at the Royal Table. But the honest truth is that, yes, I have seen a few less-than-thrilled brothers at the princess meals. I think a good way to compensate for this would be to let your son find a different character meal of his choosing for another day of your trip. Many boys love the Donald Duck Safari meal at the Animal Kingdom. Or Chef Mickey's is a great gender-neutral character experience.

Currently, the best source of menu information for Disney World is a website called allearsnet.com. Click on the search button and type in the word "menu." The chefs do sometimes tinker with the meals, but you'll find lots of great information there and be able to get a good overview.  As far as hours go, these vary widely depending on the season. For specifics (and to make reservations for any Disney meal), call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE.

    Have a great trip!
