Welcome aboard, Wendy!
Disney Cruise Line is the best vacation for families, especially those with younger children, like yours! I'm happy to let you know that Disney offers Youth Clubs for all ages of children. The littlest sailors up to three years old can book time in
It's A Small World Nursery throughout the cruise for playtime with the wonderful counselors and even visits from their favorite Disney friends! There is an additional hourly cost for the nursery, and hours can be booked during online check-in prior to setting sail.
Children ages three (and potty-trained) to 12 have fun in the
Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab. Each day, there are secured programming hours when it's "kids-only" time in these clubs. Parents drop their children off to participate in all sorts of activities and events in these amazingly themed spaces! My kids scour the Personal Navigator each night, which lists the activities and events for the following day, and highlight all their "must-do's" in the clubs. I love that for these clubs, no reservations are necessary. Parents can bring the kids whenever they'd like and let them stay for however long they prefer, and all the fun is included in your cruise cost already, so no additional costs! There are also open house hours throughout the sailing when parents get to stay and play in the clubs with their children.
Disney Cruise Line offers many sizes of floatation vests for guests to use in the pool areas and also at Castaway Cay, so no need to pack your own! You'll need all the free luggage space, because I'm sure you'll see some must-have souvenirs to take home with you, Wendy!
Happy planning!
