Two questions. I haven't been to Disney in 13 yrs, so a lot has changed. I recently won tickets to MNSSH, i was wondering if i should buy magic bands ahead of time or wait till i get to park to buy the collector one? Also, can i link my tickets?

    Hi, Lauren!

We are so glad you found your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You must be so excited to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, especially since you won the tickets! I think you'll love the enhancements that have been made to Magic Kingdom along with all the holiday touches you'll enjoy during the fall season. This is always one of my favorite times to visit "The Most Magical Place on Earth!"

Lauren, it is hard for me to remember life before MagicBands, so I think you'll find them to be a great addition to your visit next month. I have found a great selection purchasing them through shopDisney.com and in the merchandise shops in the parks and resorts. It is easy to link them ahead of time to your ticket in My Disney Experience using the MagicBand ID number located on the inside of the band. If you wait until you arrive, another option is to stop by Guest Relations to have a Cast Member assist you. I took advantage of this service a few weeks ago with a MagicBand purchased on-site, and it was linked within a few seconds. You will also save a little on shipping if you wait to make your purchase.

As you look forward to celebrating with Mickey at Magic Kingdom, be sure to familiarize yourself with all the spooky fun there is to experience at this year's party, Lauren! I suggest a festive costume to get into the spirit of the season for trick-or-treating around all the lands! You also don't want to miss the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade along with the magical fireworks during Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular. Party Guests will be able to enter Magic Kingdom at 4:00 p.m. even though the party does not officially begin until 7:00 p.m. This will give you a few hours to explore and enjoy attractions before the frightful festivities.

Have fun selecting the perfect MagicBand, Lauren! If you think of any other questions, please let us know!
