Hi there, I have two questions. We will be in Disney the last week in September. If the Magic Kingdom closes at 7PM does that mean there are no fireworks that night? Also which waterpark is best for a 6, 4 and 18 month old? Thanks for your help.

Hi, Kersten! The evenings that the Magic Kingdom closes at 7:00 P.M. are Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights.  The regular Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks does not take place.

I highly recommend the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! It is our favorite, not-to-be-missed hard ticket event (requires a separate admission)!  The Magic Kingdom is decked out in its Halloween finest - including ghosts on Main Street, U.S.A. Characters sport their costumes, too.  Guests of all ages attend in costume, but it isn't required.  Because the number of Guests is limited, you can ride almost every attraction during the party time frame, especially if you follow my family's lead and skip the Trick-or-Treat locations.  HalloWishes is the holiday-themed fireworks presentation that you can only see on party nights.  The Boo-to-You parade is one of my family's favorites. Check the website here for more information and to purchase tickets.  As in years past, there is an advance purchase discount for most nights, so you can take advantage of that, too.

In my opinion, Typhoon Lagoon is the better water park for younger Guests. Its lush, tropical landscaping creates more shady areas for your eighteen month old to take a rest, if needed. It has a great area for children called Ketchakiddie Creek.  Just make sure to watch the little ones in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool because the six-foot waves can be really strong. Have a Magical vacation!
