We have two options of when to go with kids (9 and 5) - toward the end of August over summer break or toward the end of October during fall break. The special offer for the end of August is good, but weather?. Recommendation between those two times.

Hi Amy, If finances were not a factor and I had to choose between August and October, I would choose October every time. Here's why: - August at Walt Disney World is hot, hot, hot. Oh, and did I mention that it can be hot. Additionally, August falls during the rainy season, so having at least some rain during your trip is almost guaranteed. October temperatures are still warm. You'll certainly be able to swim. But it won't be nearly as oppressive as August. - The month of October features Halloween. This includes the fabulous Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and lots of fun Halloween-themed merchandise. - The Epcot Food & Wine Festival falls in October. The already wonderful food offerings at Epcot are greatly expanded. Plus, there are many opportunities to see celebrity chefs in action. I don't know how much you'd save with a special offer. But if it's close, I'd choose October. Good luck with your planning!
