Hi Caressa,
Ooh...you're going to absolutely LOVE
visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in the fall! Not only are there several wonderful special events going on like
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, but there will be gorgeous fall decorations out and the weather and crowds are generally more mild.
I'm happy to let you know that no data is actually stored on your MagicBands themselves. The MagicBand simply accesses whatever is stored within your My Disney Experience account, so if your
tickets are already added there, both your old MagicBands and the new ones that you'll be receiving if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel will be able to access your tickets automagically. In fact, you can check in your My Disney Experience account to
see which MagicBands and cards are currently active. I will say, though, that the batteries within the MagicBands are supposed to last around two years, so if your previous MagicBands are older than that, they may not work anymore. It's not necessary, but if you'd like, you may switch them in your account to inactive by clicking the word "Active" and then choosing "Inactive."
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Caressa, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip! I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
