Hi Trudy,
Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for sailing by with your question.
I'm glad you completed your online check-in and are ready for your Disney Cruise Line vacation. I had the same question before my last cruise and learned a few things I'm happy to share. While you can use multiple
MagicBand+ at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort, the
band you use on embarkation day is the only band you can use during your cruise. So pick your favorite and remember to pack it in your carry-on bag.
When you arrive at the port, you will present your MagicBand+ to the first Crew Member who will check you in. If your
band is linked to your Disney account, it will help the Crew Member locate your reservation. You will need to
present your boarding documents, including your appropriate identification, and the person who is the lead Guest on your reservation will need to present a copy of your Port Arrival Form.
Trudy, on my last cruise, some members of my party were unable to get their band to work in the terminal. If that is the case for you, you can visit the tech desk in the terminal after you check in (by using your Port Arrival Form). Alternatively, you can visit the Guest Services desk once you are onboard to troubleshoot your band. This was a super quick process, and we were using our DisneyBand+ within minutes.
Once you make your way to your stateroom (staterooms are usually available around two hours after you board), you will enjoy opening the door hands-free with your
DisneyBand+ or MagicBand+. You can also use your band to make purchases and capture your cruise photos. Your band will also help you be a part of the story during your Rotational Dining experiences and deck parties!
I hope this information has helped you get closer to your embarkation day fun, Trudy! Please let us know if you have other questions.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
