my two kids are 13 and 17, and character meals are not a top priority to them. So from a food perspective, would you choose Chef Mickey's or Kona Café for breakfast? Also, what is your opinion on dinner at Kona Café?

Hi there Christine! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  What fun questions! Food is one of my favorite topics to talk about! As a mom of four children which includes a 12 and 15 year old, I can tell you from firsthand experience that Kona Café is one of our favorite Walt Disney World restaurants no matter the time of day!  Chef Mickey's is one of our favorite Character Dining Experiences, but if seeing the characters is not a top priority for your children, then I would choose Kona Café for breakfast. Whereas Chef Mickey's features a buffet and is an all-you-care-to-eat dining location, at Kona Café guests order from the menu. Our family favorites include the famous Tonga Toast and the 100% Kona Coffee French Press Pot. I have dined at Kona Café many times at dinner as well and have actually booked it for our trip this fall. When dining at Kona Café, my husband loves being able to order sushi from Kona Island which is located just outside the restaurant. My children also enjoy the delicious dishes at this table-service restaurant and the desserts at Kona Café are some of our favorite anywhere on property! I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. I hope you have a magical trip, Christine!
